Well, after a few very horrible days worrying and stressing about what seems to be my imminent move for clinical placement, I am starting to change my point of view so that I can try and see this as an "adventure", which is what my Mother told me I should do. She also thinks there's a reason I need to go there, but at this point, I'm still hoping against hope that something will change and I won't have to move after all.
I also trying to make some positive change in how I deal with stress. I noticed during my freak-out days that I was short of breath quite often which exacerbates my stress and makes it difficult to sleep (also not helpful). I am going to learn how to meditate. I think it will do me a world of good.
Although I haven't commented as much of late, I am still reading your blogs every couple of days and thinking of you all often.
I hope life is being kind to you.

I think that's all really positive. It can be hard sometimes, so when it gets difficult, just make time to breathe and do something kind for yourself.
We are now 4 months into our unwanted move...it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be that March day when we got the news. I have learned so much and the experience continues to change us for the good. I know your situation is very different, but I hope you will find everything easier and more peaceful than you first thought. Blessings to you and your family!
Meditation is awesome. I took a class with my dad a few years back and it was amazing the difference it made for my stress levels. Its also really fun if you start hallucinating during meditation. lol I highly recommend it.
Here's to hoping you get a good placement!
Change is hard (with or without meditation in my opinion!!). I'm glad you have gotten your head around it all...that is a huge first step!
I haven't tried it, but a friend of mine swears by this:
